Intro:
On 19th of August, 2006 baby boy Shraman was born at 10:03 AM in Fenandez Hospital, Hyderabad, India. At birth his weight was 3 KG and height was 48 cm. He is the second child of Sudip and Somali Kar.

Intro
Shreyas was born at 2:40 AM on 25th of November, 2004,the Thanks Giving Day, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, United States of America. At birth he weighed 6 lb 11 oz and his height was 20 inches. He is the first child of Sudip and Somali Kar.

Introduction

Welcome to my home page. Before you come close,here goes a small intro of myself.

I grew up in a small town in India, Midnapur. I graduated from Jadavpur Univ.,Calcutta in Computer Science and Engineering .I joined IT industry after my graduation as Engineer -R&D in HCL Hewlett Packard Ltd.That R&D had become a self-earning entity called HCL Technologies. There I was working in the area of verification of RISC processors.Then I went to join Philips semicondutors' MIPS verification team in Sunnyvale,California,USA.I returned India November'97 and joined the EDA software company Delsoft and eventually posted in my favourite city,The city of joy, Calcutta. I got married to Somali on 14th of December 1998. In November,1999 I left Delsoft to join Astral Systems Inc.(Its Calcutta division) to head a challenging telecom software project which deals with Voice Over IP (VOIP). In 2000 I arrived in the Sillicon Valley again (with my wife this time). I joined Atesto Technologies Inc. as founding member and head in software products (controller) in Fremont USA. We merged Atesto with a public company in France and planned to move to India. We sold our house in California and joined CellExchange (www.cellexchange.com) at its India operation. Now I am working as Director Engineering for Cambridge Technolofy Enterprise (formerly CellExchange, NSE: CTE.NS) and returned to its Hyderabad (India) office in May, 2006 after staying 3 years in Louisville, KY - USA.
On 25th of November,2004 we were blessed with our first child, a beautiful baby boy, Shreyas.

On 19th of August,2006 we were blessed with our second child, another beautiful baby boy, Shraman.

My wife is Bachelor of Science with Mathematics as honours and also passed the Bachelor of Education - both from Calcutta Univ. My Mother is a teacher of Physics in a Higher Secondary school in Midnapur and my father is Assistant Dirctor of Animal Resource Development division of West Bengal Govenment and now posted in Midnapur.My brother has finished his B.Tech in Metullurgical Engineering in IIT,Kharagpur as Department Topper and finished his MS and Phd from Ohio state University,USA. He is now working in GE as research scientist in Bangalore. Some of the pictures of my family in Midnapur taken in February,2004.
